The applications of Hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT are too numerous to detail on this site, but almost anything the mind influences, controls or plays a part in controlling can be helped or supported. Hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT cannot claim to cure problems of an organic nature, e.g., genetic or structural, but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence of the body's own ability to heal itself, e.g., cuts and bruises heal naturally, broken bones mend and our immune systems cope successfully with all manner of infections.

The mind body link, where our thoughts can affect our bodies is also increasingly recognised . Again simple examples are a feeling of embarrassment making us blush or sexual arousal and its obvious physical manifestations. Dr David Harrison in his book 'It's The Thought That Counts'[1], gives further examples including "the placebo effect and how it has cured between 10% and 100% of people in medical trials, depending on the type of illness and the nature of the trial.
